Quick answers

Which option is best for beginners?
Guided Backcountry is the easiest way to start if your group wants a private backcountry experience with a guide. CSR's backcountry guided experience does not require previous snowmobile experience, and a guide is with you throughout the ride.
What comes with a snowmobile rental?
CSR rental packages include a helmet and backcountry safety equipment. Goggles are needed, and boots and monosuits are available as add-ons.
Are Guided Backcountry rides private?
Yes. CSR's Steamboat backcountry guided adventures are private-only, with half-day and full-day options.
Can CSR handle groups of 10+?
Yes. CSR regularly works with larger backcountry groups. The best setup depends on your rider count, experience levels, equipment needs, and whether you want a guided or unguided day, so contact us early and we'll help put the plan together.
Do you offer a relaxed on-trail snowmobile option?
Yes. If you want a scenic guided trail ride instead of a backcountry-focused day, Rabbit Ears Adventures offers on-trail experiences on private winter terrain near Rabbit Ears. It's a great option for first-timers, families, and groups looking for a more relaxed pace.
How does Sled Skiing work?
CSR has two dedicated Polaris Voyager sled-ski setups for backcountry ski and snowboard access. Inventory is limited, so this is a good option to reserve early.
What should we wear?
Dress in warm winter layers and bring warm waterproof gloves and goggles. Helmets are provided, while monosuit and boot rentals are available as add-ons.
