Do I need a trailer to rent a snowmobile?

Yes, for unguided rentals. Both the Steamboat and Kremmling locations require a tow vehicle and trailer to get your sled to the riding area. CSR rents 2, 3 & 4-place trailers at both locations. No way to tow? Call (970) 439-1707 and we'll help you sort out options.

What's the best option for beginners?

A private guided Beginner adventure is the easiest way to start: no previous snowmobile experience is required and a guide is with you the whole ride. If you'd rather ride on your own, choose an entry-level sled and stick to terrain that matches your experience. What's included with a snowmobile rental?

Every rental, in Steamboat or Kremmling, includes a helmet, avalanche beacon, shovel, probe, radio, backcountry backpack, Polaris S7 navigation, and a full tank, and damage to the machine is capped at $1,000. Bring your own goggles. Boots and monosuits are available as add-ons.

Are guided rides private?

Yes. CSR's guided backcountry adventures are private, just your group and your guide, with half-day and full-day options.
