Rental Basics

What is included with a rental?

Your rental includes the RZR, a safety orientation, and the basics needed to start your ride confidently. Trailer needs depend on the location you choose.

How long are rentals?

Most guests book a half-day or full-day ride depending on the location. Full-day rentals are the best fit if you want a relaxed pace and more scenery.

What vehicles do you offer?

Colorado Sled Rentals offers premium Polaris RZR side-by-sides built for scenic summer terrain. They are easy to drive, stable, and beginner-friendly.

How many people fit in a RZR?

Capacity depends on the machine you reserve. Some RZRs fit two people, while others fit up to four.

Location & Logistics

Where do we meet for each location?

Steamboat starts at the Steamboat shop. Buffalo Pass starts with pickup then trailer-to-trailhead, while Kremmling and North Routt are set up for direct riding in their areas.

Do I ride from the shop?

Kremmling is the clearest ride-from-shop option. Steamboat and Buffalo Pass usually involve towing to where you want to ride.

Do I need to trailer the RZR?

Only some locations require it. If you want to skip trailer logistics entirely, Kremmling and North Routt are the easiest places to start.

Which locations require trailers?

Steamboat and Buffalo Pass require trailers. Kremmling and North Routt do not.

Experience Questions

What terrain will I ride?

You can expect mountain roads, forest trails, open views, and alpine scenery depending on location. Kremmling feels more open, while Buffalo Pass and Steamboat lean more scenic and mountain-focused.

Is this good for beginners?

Yes. Steamboat and Kremmling are usually the easiest starting points, and every rental begins with a safety walkthrough.

What is the most scenic ride?

Buffalo Pass is the most scenic pick if views are your main priority. North Routt is also beautiful, but it feels more remote and wilderness-focused.

What is the easiest option?

Steamboat is the easiest overall choice for guests staying near town. If you want the simplest no-trailer flow, Kremmling is the cleanest option.

Safety & Requirements

What is the minimum age to drive?

Drivers should be adults who meet the rental requirements at check-in. If you are booking for teens or mixed-age groups, choose your location first and confirm the exact rider rules before you reserve.

Do I need a driver’s license?

Yes. Drivers should bring a valid driver’s license to check in and complete the rental paperwork.

Can kids ride as passengers?

Often yes, if they meet the passenger safety requirements for the machine. Choose your location and vehicle first so you can book the right setup for your group.

Is it safe?

Yes, when you follow the safety briefing, ride within your comfort level, and choose the location that fits your group. These rentals are designed to feel approachable, not intimidating.

What To Bring

What should I wear?

Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable layers you can adjust through the day. Mountain weather changes fast, even in summer.

What should I bring?

Bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and your license. A light layer, snacks, and your phone for photos are smart to have.

Booking & Policies

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms can vary by reservation and booking source. Review the policy during checkout so you know the timing before you confirm.

Do I need a deposit?

Your reservation terms will show what is required to hold the booking. The quickest way to confirm your exact option is to check live availability for your date and location.

What happens if I damage the vehicle?

Damage responsibility is covered in the rental agreement you review before riding. Read that section closely at checkout so you understand your coverage and obligations.
