Jarrod Raper
CSR Manager | Guide
Jarrod Raper said his parents first “threw me on a sled” when he was around 6, and he was immediately hooked on snowmobiling. He started purchasing his own snowmobiles at age 12, and has owned five sleds in the six years since then. He’s known around Steamboat Springs for leading backcountry rides, and he thrives on “the connection you make with other people, taking them out riding and experiencing true backcountry riding.”

John Asta
Certified Guide
John grew up in Richmond, Illinois. Elevation 500 ft population 1200.
I was a skier when I was young and had a friend that got me interested in snowmobiling. Snowmobiling as a kid in Illinois was tough in the 80’s but it was enough to keep me devoted. After college I moved to Colorado in 1991 and made it my life. I have been a part of the ski and snow industry since the 90’s, building halfpipes and terrain parks, and filming in the backcountry with some of the best filmers in the industry. My passion for riding led to the creation of Nekkr, a snowmobile accessory that allows riders to stay out all day and guard against cold, wind, snow and frostbite. I fell in love with snowmobiling and going where no one has been, picking lines that change the outcome of my life. I like to ride all over but north central Colorado is where I ride the most. Respecting a non motorized enthusiast will go farther than you think. Be sure to wave, otherwise they will think the worst.
